Spent Wednesday in the woods near Medford, Wis., with Jason Julian logging Ash with his trusty mare, Hannah (on Jason's left), and his new stallion, Conan. When he was brought to the Julian farm last summer, 8-year-old Conan had been hardly handled much less worked in harness. The speed in which he has learned to be a productive member of the Julian working herd is a testament to both the Brabant disposition and intelligence as well as Jason's careful, consistent and confidence-building training system. He is becoming a great horse. Watch for an episode in May on Rural Heritage RFD-TV and a story in the next issue of Rural Heritage magazine.
