Decrease the amount fed.

I had a couple old timer dairy men tell me to give that scouring calf an egg in their milk. I did a little researching and realized that the egg needs to be from chickens on your farm. Ends up being that the chickens are scratching around making antibodies against a lot of the germs that are on your farm. The natural protection the chick gets from its mother is in the egg and in the case of feeding it to a calf that is scouring, some of that same protection is transferred to the calf, it is understandable that this would be of some benefit to the calf. I even came across a company that is immunizing chickens against a lot of the "germs" that cause scouring. They dry the eggs into a powder and sell it as a scour treatment.
