Despite the drought we are having up here our corn is doing great. Last fall I plowed down a 5 year old hay field to plant some Wapsie Valley corn. This is the second year growing this variety and I am very pleased. I have already started feeding some stalks since the grass isn't growing much with no rain and the yield of the corn is much greater than I expected. I will have plenty to spare.
See the image of me cultivating on July 2nd and me heading out to clip pasture on July 31st.
Just wanted to share.
