Finally got enough time and scrap metal to build it. my main though was to be able to remove rocks from the fields with the use of the horses. works great, and will be useful for other purposes too. just thought I'd share.

It looks very handy and well built. I bought one at the Amish auction that had good steel, but bad wood. What did you use for the planks?

I would like to know dimensions. Thanks

Dan, it's 17 inches for each side, overall it's 34" × 60" and 4" tall . It's wide enough, but I would have made it 6 ft long if my scrap metal would have been longer. The longer sled would allow me move large 5×5 round bales of hay and I don't think the extra length would hurt anything. I cut a lot of wood and planning to use it to move large chunk of wood to the barn. I'm pretty good at finding excuses to hook the boys.

Thanks, I'll have to keep an I out for material. That looks handy and useful.
