It is always a joy to see Jason Julian using his horses for various tasks and today's show hauling equipment for a tele-company was no exception. He is a superb horseman, his horses are trained excellently. Calm and willing, they embody what workhorses are supposed to be like. Also note the wide chest, deep body, sturdy legs and powerful hindquarters. What a contrast to so many today, which as a result of so-called modern breeding are narrow in the chest, slim in the body, with long necks and oftentimes stilt-like legs.

I certainly agree, Klaus. And that is why I have always been a booster for the Suffolk Punch breed. It was bred for farm work exclusively and is built for it... compact and muscular wih a willing and easygoing attitude. Sadly, my mare Agatha is gone now after giving many years of service.
