Whoever watched RH TV last week saw a picture book operation with Ralph Rice felling a tree by the book. On Bavarian Department of Agriculture tutorial videos, available on the Internet, professional foresters show how it's done. I must say they have nothing over Ralph. I like the way he emphasizes safety.

Thank you for the high praise!
I must defer to others who were kind enough to teach me. I will also give a shout out to Ohio's Master Logger Program. The continuing education classes available through them is a great way to see new techniques and re-affirm old ones.
Safety must be always first especially when working in the woods. The hazards are many. Things can go wrong quickly.
It is my hope that I am passing along knowledge that may help someone out.
