In the designing or construction of laying houses, what depth, or distance from front to back wall , is most commonly considered?

Wild guess, but thinking back to all the old chicken houses I was in I would say 14 feet.

My chicken coop is over 100 years old. Its dimensions are 16' deep by 23' long and has a shed roof. It has two rooms.
