Folks, I just got a set of gardening tools from the Dobkins folks at Homestead Iron. I watched two shows about their business on RFD-TV thanks to Uncle Joe and Rural Heritage.
I ordered my set to use in my raised beds. I am recovering from knee replacement surgery, so the little bit of gardening that I am doing is taking place in the raised beds. I found out pretty quick that a regular hoe doesn't work the best.
I watched Mr Dobkins make the tools in his home shop. He forges and bends them one by one. He takes pride in his work and it shows.
My order arrived yesterday. The prompt shipment was very nice, but the best part is...these tools are great.
He takes the time to make sure the angle is perfect from handle to tool. The small short scuffle hoe slices perfect. The weeder is easy to use and also works great. The trowel is sharp and very comfortable in the hand. Check them out at www.homesteadiron.com
I recommend them and the tools! Hand weeding is now a breeze.
