One of the highlights of the year for me has been the annual Jamesport Auction. It is a two-day event in Jamesport, Missouri in the midst of an Amish community and offers something for everybody. It must be easily 5 acres or more on which thousands of items are offered. This year it takes place on Wednesday July 5th and Thursday, July sixth
starting at 8 a.m. The first day is more for people who look for household and gardening items as well as all kind of tools including antiques, the second day is devoted to everything around the horse, carriages, buggies, farm machinery as well as livestock. The catalog also says they are expecting about 75 horses to be sold. They take cash or valid checks.
I have been attending that auction for over 20 years and it seems to me its getting bigger every year.Right now they already have more than 60 mowers listed.

On their flyer the organizers note that they "highly discourage ATVs and Golf Carts due to safety and inconvenience". These vehicles have really become a nuisance as people were cruising through the aisles in larger and larger numbers. Now I assume that handicapped people still can use them, but one could see quite able bodies careening around. I'll bring my walking cane.
