years ago I was told yeast fed daily to my horses would help their feet. This I have done faithfully about 1/2 cup per day during what may be 16-20 years none of my horses have had any hoof issues dry or wet.
Anyone else believe this or just in my head?

A couple years ago we had a duckling that developed a leg issue. Spraddle, I think. All of the sources I researched on suggested brewers yeast. I was skeptical but dutifully schlepped down to Vitamin Shoppe and picked up a bottle. Duckling recovered in less than a week of adding it to the food.

I've never had reason to try it, but I wouldn't be surprised if brewers yeast supported hoof health as well. It's apparently an excellent source of niacin.

Having lived in Bavaria till I was 44, I can tell you that brewer's yeast is good for anyone's health- beast or human being. Why do you think we like beer so much?
