In several other states I have seen corn grown in a particular way,I presume for eating, but this past year down here in Texas it was grown very unusually. The corn started to grow in March, I thought that maybe with it being grown that early that there would be 2 crops of corn or maybe multiple ones of other types, then when the corn's ears were full the farmers shut off the water to the corn. This happened at about June and the corn was left to dry out for the next 2-3 months. Is the corn that was grown feed corn?or was it sick?or what? Just wondering.
