my thermometer is right at minus 24 at 6 this morning now that will get your attention. Dad said it was cold when the wagon wheels sang going through the snow I have never hear that, but I have never ran a wagon with steel wheels. Grandad had steel wheels on everything. I have always had rubber tires on everything. When I fed the cows yesterday one of the cows had a new calf about 5 days ago one of the first calf heifers had a calf both lived. the calf yesterday was up and had sucked, he was not dry but he had been licked off.

Now that is nice and cold! That wonderful -0 number. I remember it like it was yesterday. Sadly we won't be seeing truly cold days anymore now that we are living in south central Texas. We used to live in the mountains of Colorado. Not around them or next to them, but actually in them.

I know that you have probably said, but at the moment I don't remember. What state do you live in K.C.?

K.C.: those are a couple good moms. We ran sheep for years, any mom that gets them dried off and sucked gets top score with me. I have no use for a lazy mom accept in Sausage. In my book a good self sufficient mom can make up for a lot of deficits.

Sometimes I think it is the state of insanity. But I live in Nebraska about 250 miles NW of Omaha, miles SE from Valentine I'm in the center of the state. Merry Christmas to you and yours and A Happy New Year.

Nebraska. That explains the cold weather. By insanity I take it that you mean wind. Speaking of wind do you get a lot of it were you live?
Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and a happy new year.
