I have a set of double line spreaders that I got with a set of harness that I purchased quite some time ago. I use a set of spreaders whenever I hookup and I always have; but, I can not figure out why you would want a set of double spreaders. Does anyone know what the advantage of double spreaders or even how to properly rig up a set? It seems like they would be for show and doesn't really have any practical value.

I always thought the second set of spreaders was to be used as line carriers for the lead team.
