My harnesses came full equipped for team use. Later, I called Bowman Harness, where the original harnesses came from, and ordered another team harness, as well as all necessary parts needed for single conversion. The accessories included large shaft loops and the tugs. Which leaves me wondering about a free-floating ring that is attached to the belly band, on both sides--just slightly lower than where my shaft holders hang. At first, I assumed they were to run the belly band strap of the shaft loops through, but it doesn't sit quite right when I do that. Can someone please tell me what the rings are used for? I have circled the ring in red, and again, it's on both sides of all my team harness.

A place to hook the quarter straps when not needed.

On my harness, the "sidebackers" go through that ring.
I hang a bell from it with a strap, just because I like to hear them ring.

I use it to hang my quarter straps to when I put the harness away. The Amish guy who made the harness for me told me it was for hanging things on on but he didn't have a good reason for it either.
