I have several barn yard hens, one of them is eating other eggs. My question is if I clip he beak, will she still be able to eat bugs and what ever else she can find, or will she need all of her feed from a pan? Any input is great.

The hen will be severely impaired to have a natural life. I advise against it, it's also cruel!

You ask this as if you know what hen it is that is cracking the eggs. If this is true, it is time for her to go in the pot. Mom's being kept for production of young, doesn't matter if it is dogs, horses, cattle, chickens, etc, if they don't care for their young or intentionally hurt them, they should not be adding to the gene pool. At least a hen is still tasty!

I've had chickens that came with their beaks clipped and it didn't seem to make any difference with egg eating. It kept them from pecking one another but some of them still ate eggs. I tried everything, These chickens came from a place that didn't feed them well enough when they were started and the egg eating seemed to come from lack of protein in the diet. (that may or may not be the cause of your chickens egg eating as it was with mine). I added more protein in their feed, and some kelp for minerals and some of them stopped eating eggs, but not all. I added some double bottom nest boxes for the ones who still ate eggs out of habit, and it helped, but they still got an egg now and then. I finally decided there was plenty of chickens out there and the egg eaters were better at making dumplings than they were at eggs. Also from my experience the chickens with clipped beaks were not as good a forages as the others. They got all their feed from the feeder but wasted a good bit of that.
