With all the rain we had yesterday I could wrest myself away from planting and watch the RH TV show with Dris Abraham. Amazing =- all the ingenuity. In our small operation I only use non-motorized implements and the sickle-bar mower, the rake as well as the manure spreader are the only ground-driven pieces with all those moving parts. And when I use them I'm always happy that they work and nothing breaks. A combine or a baler would be awe-inspiring and scary to me!

I too am fascinated by Mr. Abraham's operation but can never get a reply from them. I spoke to him last summer about a piece of machinery they were building and was told to call back in a month or so. I tried, and have tried numerous times since then leaving a message and phone number every time. I have never gotten a response. I eventually just gave up.

Not sure what happened there, Steve. Its been my experience that Dris is pretty accessible. And I have heard that from other folks as well.
Since moving to Oklahoma about sixteen months ago, Dris and Melissa have had some rough weather that has kept them very busy for a few brief periods of time when they have also been without power and coping with ice storms and high winds.
Ordinarily, when I have been visiting, the weather there is pretty terrific and I've watched Dris spend a lot of his time on the phone answering people's questions.

Dris used to post here quite often. Perhaps he is a victim of our dial up issue? In any case I believe he returns phone messages quickly. Try again Steve, he is a good guy.

I can say that I had no problem getting a hold of Dris and he has been a tremendous help in selecting a herdsire, spent hours on the phone discussing pedigrees and has looked at photos of potential candidates. A wealth of knowledge and as he says MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP. Never met him in person, but I would say he is an asset to the community.<br />
If you are on Facebook try messaging him through that, always replied promptly. <br />

I have to agree that Dris is usually pretty easy to get ahold of, but we went through a spell where I thought he was totally ignoring our inquiries. As it turns out, he was responding to my questions via text--a common thing for him to do on his phone. The problem was, I didn't have text. I only had a landline. So, if you gave Dris your phone number, there is a good chance he has been replying via text. Contact him again, and specify if you don't have text capability.
