Is coarse textured soil generally richer in plant food than fine textured soil?

If comparing lumpy type clay soil vs sandy soil ,I'd say the clay type would hold more nutrients as the sandy type would leach out faster. Compare that to soil that has a lot of humus and is is finer, then the opposite would be true.
