Anyone know where a nice "Old fashioned looking" Belgian Bay draft might be. Could even be a young one. Im still trying to get back to a matching pair of Bays. It would need to be 16.3 or bigger. By old fashioned I mean heavy built legs thick wide neck and big body. No hurry just always lookin.

Michael I have a bay 2 yr old gelding that fits the description of what you're looking for. He has about ten hitches on him over the summer and has a super attitude. He is an old style farm horse in both build and disposition. I'm alone here with these horses most of the time, and I hitched and drove this gelding with my breaking mare with no help right from the start. He's currently about 15.2 and weighs 1400 lb at the scale, not by tape. I've advertised him locally, but everyone wants 2 like him, not just a single horse. I can PM you more pics if you like. The new FP seems to give my computer a headache:-)

Sharon, judging by your description here you are the Craigslist posting in Nebraska. I called and talked with you on your way home from Waverly. You were going to send more pics but weren't u sure he may make 16.2 tops?

It is quite possible that I talked to you on my way home from Waverly. My phone never stops ringing. I need an email address to send pictures to, as pictures from my phone would be all but unidentifiable. As far as height, I doubt that the horse will mature to 17H, beyond that I hesitate to guess. I've been wrong both ways. I'm fairly optimistic he'll make 16.2 So I guess that would be an inch short of your requirement.
