What is a bull ring?

Jonathan Shively says 2015-09-15 14:00:54 (CST)

An arena commonly found in Mexico used to host bull fights.

Or the brass ring that is pierced through a bull's nose so he can be led/handled by the ring which presumably makes him more docile.

A ring which is put into a bull's nose, in order to lead him around without difficulty.

A metal ring inserted in a bull's nose to facilitate handling the animal.
