So far this morning we have the ground covered with snow, the wind is blowing 25 or so. It is not real cold 22 above. My son is siting in Fort Bridger WY snowed in the roads are all closed Drifts in the truck stop was 3' and deeper last night. Sure hope everyone Has a dry place to be in and a warm place to eat. the truck stop said they will run out of food today or tomorrow.

Boy, what a mess. Just went weather lookin' out there. Hope this is the last storm before Spring breaks Winter's back.
We are looking at 60 for today, a far cry from the -35 a few short weeks ago. We had baby piggies in the basement and horses getting double rations.

God bless

Due to plenty of snow during January and February, followed by rains, and oftentimes far below freezing temperatures, now with milder weather there is mud everywhere. I am keeping my Percherons in the barn , since I don't want them to stand in the messy ground all the time and soften up their feet. They are not happy about that. Letting them out in the pasture instead of the barnyard is no solution either: I just don't want those holes in the soggy ground when these heavy guys romp around.

Kc i heard them say that I80 was closed from kearney all the way to western wyoming... it has been muddy here for months now which has made feeding a challenge all winter. We just hit another cold spell which will probably be our last of the year. I am glad its cooler because i still have one hog i havent killed yet so i will try and get that done this weekend.
