After this long winter many people are probably itching to get some planting started. Not so fast, says Nature, and brings us another two inches of rain on the already soggy ground, which still has patches of frozen sub surface.
Well, encouraged by last fall's success with micro greens, I put up tables in one of the hoop houses and started micro greens. On an area of 60 sq. ft. I sowed very densely Arugula, beets and cabbage. In about three weeks I can start cutting.
The same area, but in a long, narrow row, in fall produced about 14 lbs for one cut. which we sold at $ 11 per pound. Seed costs $ 5.
The advantage with the table is that I do not have to kneel when cutting.
