I really enjoyed ALL the shows in October - those nice events with all kinds of activities going on, and as always the horses and mules as well as other farm animals. A lot of the old machinery shown reminded me of my very young days as a kid when farmers around me in Bavaria used them on their farms. Of course there wasn't as much variety as here in the States. I may be wrong, but I would guess a number of those fine contraptions were not designed by engineers in factories, but came from shops of inventive farmers and craftsmen in rural areas.
One of the quaint things I saw today towards the end of the show, obviously a kind of parade, and there was a white closed (wedding?) carriage followed by a manure spreader!!! Omen of things to come?
Joe, you did a really fine job sharing all those events with us, and I bet you had a great time, too, every time you went.
Is it possible to insert a little map so that one can see the location?
Or maybe that would be a story in the magazine to summarize your itinerary? I usually try to look up those places in an atlas, but am not always successful.
