Overview
- Source of power: 6 horses.
- Horses are used to: hauling manure, cultivation, haying, logging.
- Acreage: 230 total, 2 acres in garden, 20 acres in crops, 20 acres in pasture, 60 acres in hay, 100 acres in woodlot.
- Other livestock: cows, pigs, ducks, geese.
- Skills offered in: basic understanding of mixed farming.
- Expectations of Apprentice: diligence, quitness, attentiveness.
- Work hours: 40-60 hours per week.
- Terms: room and board furnished; two apprentices at a time for 3-5 months, spring to fall.
- Stipend: yes, $100/week.
- Accommodations: upper floor of shed with private shower and toilet.
- Meals: All you can eat farm meals.
- Apprentice must be: willing and honest.
- Visit first: yes.
- Trial period: 2 weeks.
- Comments: Male of Female doesn't matter. Prefer age 20-25 years.
