A mixed farm with maple syrup forest.

  • Source of power: 6 horses.
  • Horses are used to: hauling manure, cultivation, haying, logging.
  • Acreage: 230 total, 2 acres in garden, 20 acres in crops, 20 acres in pasture, 60 acres in hay, 100 acres in woodlot.
  • Other livestock: cows, pigs, ducks, geese.
  • Skills offered in: basic understanding of mixed farming.
  • Expectations of Apprentice: diligence, quitness, attentiveness.
  • Work hours: 40-60 hours per week.
  • Terms: room and board furnished; two apprentices at a time for 3-5 months, spring to fall.
  • Stipend: yes, $100/week.
  • Accommodations: upper floor of shed with private shower and toilet.
  • Meals: All you can eat farm meals.
  • Apprentice must be: willing and honest.
  • Visit first: yes.
  • Trial period: 2 weeks.
  • Comments: Male of Female doesn't matter. Prefer age 20-25 years.
