hay preservatives
Posted by Butch Myers at 2009-05-05 11:21:42
Just to let others know , I've finally had a company rep ,who sells mold retardants to hay makers ,say that "they're aware that horses will not eat hay treated with propionic acid ", and told me to tell my hay guy not to use it if he was going to try to sell it to horse people . It won't hurt them , but they will not eat it . It's just another thing that ,we as horse owners should know, an educated customer is a good customer .
