deworming weanlings

I forgot to ask about "how often to worm" . We can see worms in their manure . Thankyou for your response .

This is where your veterinarian can help you the most. Getting fecal egg counts helps to know what the parasite numbers are. If they are really very worm infested repeat deworming 3-4 weeks after the first treatment, or a 5 day panacur "Power Pak" deworming, may be indicated. Otherwise, repeat in about 3 months. If you can see worms in the manure that is passing that would most likely be roundworms (ascarids), that are very long and thin when mature. Many young animals of many species can develop enough of their own immunity to pass these roundworms, but they can also because large aggregates that cause intestinal obstruction, so better to deworm and be safe.
