Nutrena Safe Choice

I just moved Tink again, and this place feeds Nutrena Safe Choice and Senior. Currently Tink is on Triple Crown Lite, but I'm hoping the Safe Choice will be an acceptable substitution. I have contacted Nutrena for information, but maybe somebody here already knows the starch content? I'll post it if I get it before anybody answers.

I have always used safechoice, both for my growing baby to my older horses. I really like it and it is lower than most feeds in starch and carbs. It also is high in fiber too. Mine have done great on this feed.

No response from Nutrena yet, but according to what I read on various message boards, the NSC% of Safe Choice is anywhere from 21% to 28%. A little high. Their Lite formula is about 11% NSC, so I'm going to see if they can get that for Tink.

That's annoying--I have contacted Nutrena three times and they have not replied! I never got an answer from my local feed mill about their low starch high fat mix either. The new barn has gotten the Nutrena Lite for Tink, so that's good but it would be nice if people would provide this info when requested.
Poor Tink is beside herself at the new place--it's the first time in her life she's been turned out with more than 2 horses--she's out with a group of 8 kind mares, who basically ignore her--but she is quite intimidated by the herd! I never thought I'd see her intimidated by anything!
