what to use to moisturize hooves?

I have 2 drafts (1 percheron & 1 belgian) I would like to get some of the dryness out of their hooves before farrier visits, in order to make them easier to trim. I keep them barefoot and only work them lightly on pasture. My question is: do you have a recomendation for something to put on their hooves to soften them and be good for their hooves?
