Noavel Headstall for shoeing

I have a team of 12 year old Percheron mares that, among other issues, are not good with their feet. I can barely get a trim done most times. On a good day I get about 4 seconds before the foot goes down. Maybe they're used to stocks? I don't know they're history. They're better with their back feet, but still nothing great. I've heard good things about the noavel, but haven't seen it used. Is this an answer? Thanks for your time.

Sorry this has taken a while, but I have been away for a bit, and was extremely busy trying to get away before I left. I have to say that the Noavel headstall has been one of the best items that I have ever purchased. We use it a lot on draft horses with incredible results, and I don't think that stocks are at all a good idea when you can accomplish so much more without them.
I have a friend in Vermont named Bruce Matthews that shoes a lot of drafts, and he has made an excellent video about handling drafts with a rope. You might get on horseshoes.com and look him up. Good luck.
