Thank you Chris for the clinic

The Chris Gregory clinic in Kendallville, IN, this last weekend was excellent. Chris has a very well balanced and standardized way of teaching. He is not only a very talented hammer, but also a great all-around man. The list of demos and hands-on projects that were taught would take more room than I have for this article, but all of them will definitely benefit all of the attendees in the day to day business.

He brought his son Cody along, and it was great to see a father-son team working together who really enjoy being together. The two of them are very in tune with one another, and kept the clinic going. I really appreciated this, due to it was my first clinic I put together, and they really helped me recover from my mistakes of planning the clinic.

Cody is not just going to grow up to be a great man, and talented hammer. He is already there. Keep up the good work Cody, and ride 'em like you own 'em.

I really learned a lot about building shoes and shoeing horse at this clinic, but the most enjoyable part of the clinic for me was just the time spent with Chris and Cody talking about life and things we all enjoy. I feel I have met two friends for life. I hope the two of them feel the same. I asked Chris to Kendallville to do a horse shoeing clinic, and got so much more from him it is impossible to thank him and Cody enough.

Every one of the guys who attended came up to me to thank me and let me know how much they enjoyed the clinic, and what great folks Chris and Cody are. They were really impressed with the knowledge of both of them.

I’m hoping to hold another clinic in Kendallville this winter. If anyone is interested, let me know what dates work best so I plan a time when everyone can make it.

Chris, do you know what I love about shoeing horses???

I would also like to thank Marvin Schwartz From DL Schwartz Supply in Bern, IN, for hosting the last day of the clinic. Marvin is another great man. He was more than willing to not only supply Chris with new tools, and supplies for the demo, but hauled out an anvil and forge for two new folks to the industries to work on. I did not get their names, but both of them let me know how much it meant to them for Marvin to go the extra mile, and to work with Chris. Chris did a jumped welded heart bar shoe on a foundered pony for the horse demo. I thought man, he made that look really easy. Then before the clinic was over he had myself and Mike Breen jump welding heart bars.

Chris & Cody, I hope to see you really soon at the school. I appreciate all you've done for us. God bless your wonderful family.
