Abscess

Can a horse abscess in the toe without showing signs of lameness, or at least more than just a day (or so) of being off?

If you truly have an abscess, you will have lameness. You may have a gap in the white line that appears like an abscess, but it probably is just a little white line separation or the toe-stay that is full of black gunk. Without lameness, I would have trouble thinking abscess.

Thank you. Me too; but, when you (I) make a general statement like that, you would be surprised how many people say, "No, I had one blow an abscess that was never lame."

Happy Holidays to you and yours, and thank you for your time.
