split frogs

I have four horses and all of them have split frogs. It has been really dry around here this summer. Do you think that could be why they have split?

If you are talking about them splitting through the center, then yes, it could be from being dry. The natural crease in the center of a frog is called the central sulcus, and it can become deeper and more pronounced in a dry frog that does not shed.
