Piece of paper (that the horse can't read) which says it is worth more then the other horses in the pasture.

my best horses were not papered horses. they were grade horses and spoiled rotten, when I bought them because someone else couldn't handle them. They were all day horses. Ones that you could ride all day today and all day this week. papers make them bring more money and I don't sell my best. I ride a lot of miles yesterday we rode close to 50 or more miles rounded up two bunches of cattle 200 In each bunch. We then drove them about 5 miles, would have got done earlier but had 1 or 2 crippled bulls in each bunch and wanted them in so they could be taken home. we got done about dark. I went to the barn this morning my horse was in so I gave him 1 gallon of oats and turned him out. Every one of us has the horses that our jobs require and there good for the job that we do, you ride for each day. the dogs were real tired last night there was 2 riders and 2 dogs yesterday, without the dogs it would have took more riders or longer to do. the best to you and yours
