this is not a horse question but it is a farm ?
we have laying hens their egg shells are very thin we give them oyster shells free choice but they are still thin what else can we do

Adding kelp to the feed will thicken the shells.

Are the hens older? saying 4 to 5 year olds they tend to have a need for better nutrition to produce a thicker shell.

if your chickens run outside all the time they wont be eating the oyster shell
