Amish School Auction
Posted by S. Oh. Bill at 2015-07-08 21:26:06
July 11,@ 9:am The 8th annual Hillsboro Amish Community consignment auction will start.
Flat bed wagon with standards and grain sides / steel wheels. looks like new. Mc.D #9 mower, JD hay rake, EZ manure spreader on steel, potato planters and many other goodies.
It's always a good auction and for a good cause. And Jerry, it's only 70 miles north of Flemingsburg, Ky. Hope that you can make it. It's too wet to make hay.

See Hess auctions @ Hillsboro for complete listing

It might be good for me to get away from staring at all this mud and do something a little more fun!I've got it on the calendar and I'll do my best to get up that way, I might be able to bring along some other folks from down here too.

They had a very good sale. The weather was perfect, NO RAIN, which was hard to believe since it had rained everyday for the last two weeks in Southern Ohio.
It was well attended with over 550 bidder numbers given out. The prices were good on the quality equipment. The 16 ft. flatbed wagon on steel went for $1575. A Pioneer sulky plow went for $900. Both were like new. A new set of bio-thane draft team harness went for $850. Parking was a bit of a problem with the hay field parking but they had a track loader to pull anyone that got stuck.
All in all it was a good day for a good cause.
