Ox Drovers Gathering free this weekend in MI

The Midwest Ox Drovers Gathering begins Fri. evening at Tillers International, Scotts, MI. Saturday will be full of activities. Sunday an ox-powered tour and competition cart course. All free. Some friends of mine took some Yaks there in hopes of getting them started as oxen . I will bet they learned a lot!

There are a few Yak pictures on FaceBook. One of a Yak hooked to a stone boat. Seems they are coming along good in their training.

I Can't wait to hear how it all went for them ! It has been something they have wanted to do for a long time. I had oxen but they were brown swiss and very sweet and docile.
