Odon, Indiana auction
Posted by Carl Byerly at 2015-05-22 19:52:43
On Wednesday, June 10, there will be an auction to end all auctions. Included are 15 threshers, 13 hay loaders, 90 sickle bar mowers, oodles and gobs of other horse drawn machinery and all field ready. Most of it looks like it's brand new, paint and all. I don't know the background on the owner but he must have spent a lifetime restoring farm machinery. The complete listing can be seen at the Chupp Auctions website.

Put Dale Chupp in your search engine. There is also a Chupp auctions in Oklahoma which is not the same Chupp.

Jim, the Chupp Auctions website I found first was for a Chupp Auctions in Oklahoma. What are the odds?

The listed owner for the circus was Graber Farm Supply LLC.

Sorry to put this auction back in place, Carl, but the one in Jamesport, MO at the beginning of July, this year July 1st and 2nd , is at least as big. And it lasts for two days, as you can see!

Klaus, the difference is the Jamesport MO auction is a consignment auction; the Odon IN auction is a private collection and most of the Odon machinery looks like it's brand new.

Sounds interesting, but of course way too far for me to attend.

I stopped by Graber's a few weeks ago and talked with Norman. They have a large shop with several employees. They have acquired used equipment and have completely gone through each piece and rebuilt them, new bearing, chain, sprockets etc. where needed The items that I saw looked field ready.
