Amish Auction

I did attend our local school benefit sale this past weekend and it was a good crowd. Things seemed to sell well in spite of the rain. I kept my hands in my pockets for the most part but still came home with a few things I suppose I needed. It was about like any sale, some things sold high and there some bargains to be had. Two mowing machines, one labeled as completely rebuilt and field ready sold for 750, and on that had been used recently but was in good shape went for 700. I John Deere cultivator in need of some repairs went for a little over 300. An International corn planter went for 385. There was only one walking plow this year, an Oliver 20 with a wooden beam sold for 55. There were plenty of forecarts and they were anywhere from brand new to well used and the prices were within reason on all of them.

Jerry that sulky plow I got for $25 I am still trying to find out who made it. It has the International coulter and a John Deere wheel. The stamp on the beam is number 153. Hope someone on here can help with the id.

Andy, if you can, post some pictures of that new plow. I've been trying to look for some ID for it, but I'm having a tougher time remembering what it looked like.
