Update on CPAP
Posted by jwaller at 2015-03-27 07:49:30
Have been using it for almost 2 months. WORLD of difference in rest/sleep. The results of the sleep study were actually scarey.

Have also started a diet. More fruits, veggies and salads and much smaller (about half) portions of meals. And no chips/etc anymore.

My goal is to be able to see my feet and other lower organs by 5/5/15 without a mirror or bending over.

Consider getting a Fitbit for self motivation. My wife got me one for Christmas and I began wearing it on Dec. 28th. My walking began to increase steadily from 10,000 steps to 15,000 and further up, per day. I now do about 10 miles of walking per day, eat smaller meals, and have stopped my glass of wine with dinner. In the 3 months since beginning this, I've lost 35 pounds. It's worth a try!

Very happy for you Waller! I knew you would feel so much better with that CPAP.

In another month or 2, with that new way of eating & the CPAP, you're going to feel like a whole new person.

Am learning to make 'healthy' stuff taste o.k. Adding flax to most everything. Have noticed fewer trips to the grocery store (less $ outgo). Have had one beer in past 3 weeks. Again, less $ outgo.

Here it is 3:30 a.m. and I'm up. Have baked more cookies, bread and done some vacuuming.

Son was over last evening and we castrated some pigs. That was the one beer I mentioned above. Put points in the 2N Ford and got the cordwood saw on the 3 point so we can get some more slabwood for the sugar shack.

Have discovered adding more variety to salads. Rice noodles, bean sprouts, flavored croutons.

You can survive on 1/2 of a steak on one day, other half next day.
