Ran across this Youtube clip showing some horse farming in the UK. Thought some here might enjoy it.

Last May my wife and I took our first vacation after 45 years, spending 15 days discovering our heritages. We spent 3 days in Killarney, home of the Muckross house. Hardly a house! I counted 72 fireplaces in the house. The gardens and farm were by far the highlight of the entire 15 days. I would encourage anyone, Irish heritage or not, get someone to take care of the farm an go enjoy the second most beautiful country on earth.

That may have been one of the nicest videos I've seen posted on this site in a long time, not to take anything away from others. This one just hit close to home for me. Thanks for sharing.

For a few days the sound didn't work on our computer that's why I only today wanted to watch the video. Very nice. When I was a boy most of the thrashing in our neighborhood was still done with machines similar to the one shown here, even often still powered by a steam engine.
The horses are fine, too, walk a little too fast for my taste, at times close to breaking out in a trot.

I'm thinking of how much easier the seed broadcasting might be with that handle in one of the earlier edits, instead of the circular crank. It fits better into a more natural flow of body motion while walking.

Very pleasant to view, altogether. There is a serenity captured that lessons and informs.
