Butcher by phases of the moon?

Now, I've heard of weaning and castrating by the phase. And
I've seen for myself that cows and sheep tend to give birth in the waning side of a full moon.Just heard about butchering by moon phases today. Anyone do it?

Almanac says to butcher in the first week after full moon. It gives reasons and signs.
