Not a bad price considering the harness is worth probably $800 or more since the collars come with it.
Juts the right age for a starter team for someone that is just beginning.

The age of the mules don't mean a thing to me. Several years ago Harry Lehman asked me to check on a team of mules at Lexington or some place near there on my way home. I found them, about 8 as I recall, and they had never been hooked but once and scared the old guy. I thought that this pair would make good coyote bait as they were but unless you could put them in the middle of a 12 horse plow hitch for a month or two, they wern't worth fooling with as a team, maybe as pack mules.
When I go to look at a horse or mule, I want the man to show me what he can get out of them. Which don't mean I or anyone else can get them to do anything. It just means someone gott them to do it once and a person might be able to do it again.

I've about half thought of calling about these mules myself, but I've not had a whole lot of good experiences with mules.....they scare me. I was shoeing a "good, gentle" wagon mule for a guy one time and I about got killed my him. A cow kick from a left hind foot while I was shoeing the front one hit me on the back of my neck. Put me out of service for a while. I don't trust mules! But this looks like a heck of a deal to me for someone else.

I guess Dale don't buy his stock based on pictures and pedigrees. The way I see it pretty is, as pretty does.
