cold & snow

last night it was just cold -14. Tonight light snow and cold 0 now. Just took My new Blue heeler puppy out for the last time tonight, I think I can get him house broke. Beverly is just about tired of him all ready, he is 6 weeks old and the way he acts will be a one man dog. He goes with me all the time except when I ride out in the pasture.

Great dog, Blue Heeler. Good luck with him. They can do amazing things when they work.

Central Illinois has been getting a blast of winter. Put big gap in the wood pile. Its March now Will be mud season soon.

Took a drive today up almost to the Canadian border and at 4310 foot elevation, no snow. Finally seen a drought map and it said we were better off than 3 months ago. Last time I believe that map. We are at about 29% of normal on the snow pack. Think we have had less than 4inches of rain since Sept.
