Build Metal Evener
Posted by Canoe Tomah at 2015-02-13 18:43:03
We have couple of saddle horses 800lb. Would like to see what you have used to welding up metal Eveners. Looked up & searched the archives and saw some descriptions of stock but it looked like the pictures were not there. Some pictures would help me out.

Thank You,

I use 1"x2" for the eveners !"x1" for the single trees lighter than 1/8 heaver than 14 ga about as thick as #9 wire. 1"x6"x1/8" 2 straps to conect the eveners and single trees together.

Singletrees and doubletrees from EZ-Trail in Ohio are so inexpensive that it hardly seems worth it to me. My three-mini evener is made out of a white oak fence board, but everything else is store bought.

I use 1x3 3/32 wall for evener. Single trees are 1/2 3/32 wall. I copied my neighbors. I add a thin plate both sides at the pin location.
