Forecart
Posted by Neil A at 2014-11-21 22:24:12
I have a Pioneer forecart can I hook my 16 foot trailer to it, it will be hooked with a 2 inch ball on the forecart hitch, will my fore cart stay balance with a load of fire wood on the trailer?

Yep, mine handle tong weight very well.
The only problem I have, if you load the rear of the trailer heavier than the front , it will lift your forecart off the ground. Not a good thing.

I have pulled a 10ft trailer with over a ton on it and had no problem. Not sure how much of a difference a load on a 16 ft would be.

I do it all the time. Just remember to watch the turns. Triangle tounge on regular trailers get against the wheels quick.

Also, stay out from underneath the low set trailer. It can mangle and kill. Be safe!!

I use a 16 footer all the time too. Balance the load, and it's fine. Just remember there is very limited clearance underneath if something goes wrong in just the right way.
