Farm Question 11/10/2014

Under what conditions are animals most apt to eat poisonous plants?
Response by Vince Mautino at 2014-11-10 09:23:56
Early spring or when their pasture is over grazed.

Around here, loco weed comes up before other greenery in the spring.

When they have no other choice, and there is nothing else to eat.

People have been known to eat leather, cardboard and wood shavings for the same reasons.
Response by Jerry Hicks at 2014-11-11 04:59:22
When kept on short pasture where good food is scarce.
