Wheat Rye Pasture

I have wheat and marshall rye pasture available for my team of Haflinger. Should I put them in during the day and take them off during the night or visa versa. They will have plenty of dry grass and hay available. I do not want to cause any founder, as I have been down that road before with horses, not fun.

Hi Okie

I have 2 haffies and I use the paddock paradise system, I let them into the middle as a reward for work done, so far (1 year) they eat and then put themselves back on track after a few hours.
We have had no problems, even though one of our girls had a colic operation she is now fit as a fiddle
