mini horse pulling
Posted by trevor collins at 2014-10-09 14:59:52
I just got throu reading R H magazine's article about mini horse pulling. It intresed me very much and would like to know more on this. My Grandfather raised them from the bigining as breeders and show horses, and mini donkeys as breeders and pets. I am trying to slowly follow in his foot steps and always interested in new things to do with them. Any more info on this would be very apreciated, thanks.

Mini horse pulling is billed as the fastest growing equine sport in north America. We started a new club in Michigan this passed summer with great success. There are mini horse pulls all over the eastern U.S. but also many pulls in the Midwest. Not sure if it has caught on in the western states. I'm sure it will soon. Not sure where you are from Trevor but I'm sure It's happening near you.

Trevor, do a computer search for Sportsman's Pony Pullers Assoc. You will be surprised.

There is a discernable trend to miniaturization lots of stuff these days. Miniature cattle, even. And have you noticed "Tiny Houses"? I love that idea, have two trailer frames ready to get built out that way before Spring. AND now am getting 5 gallons a day from am now oversized (48") miniature Jersey heifer who was culled for excessive birth weight!

But small is beautiful. I have thought so ever since miniskirts were introduced.

Check out FarmerBrownsPlowShop.net and look at the videos of mini pulls. The little horses really get into it....and so do some of the teamsters.
