Taking in the scenery...

I was able to get out to the Willmore Wilderness Park in Alberta for a few days at the end of September. It was the first mountain trip for the big black horses and they did very well.

is that a set of shafts on the middle horse? if so how is it on tight corners on the outside horse?

We can always count on you Terry to provide us with beautiful scenery in your pictures. Horses look great also, nice type

It is a set of shafts Arlee and I've not noticed any problems with regard to the outside horses on tight turns. The advantages to the shafts/shalves is all horses are holding back going downhill and all horses are helping when backing up.

Yay! I've been having a fantasy about a getaway like that lately, for about 20 years. Great!

I have thought about your shafts set up since I saw it sometime last year (at least I think it was your wagon). I think this set up will work good for me using 3 in the woods on my logging cart. do you have a shot of how the evener is hooked?
Billy
PS: I live all the way over here in Maine but I bet it would be worth the trip to head out your way for a Mountain trip. No cell phone coverage there :-)
