Poultry?

non-ruminants (with the exception of horses)

Thinking about this some more... poultry are omnivorous, except for geese that mostly graze. Pigs are also omnivorous. The only *class* of livestock I can think of are those in a feedlot that are fed the traditional grain diet until slaughter. Today, of course, we have a variety of finishing diets, including just grass.

Pigs consume more grain than any other species. Takes more grain to make a lb. of pig unlike the chicken who can make a lb. of chicken on just a little over a pound of grain or a dozen eggs on just over a pound of feed.

It doensn't take much grain to finish beef, most of it was grown on grass.

Hogs.

I thought poultry at first as well, but Dale explains it well.
