Haying with horses

Does anyone know of anybody still using the overshot stacker when putting up hay? I would like to watch it done.

I beleve that the Grant-Korhs ranch at Deer Lodge used one last year because their beaverslide needed work. You might contact them to see if they will be using it this year.

And if you can make it to Sodbuster Days, it is worth the trip. Beautiful country and great horses, teamsters and equipment. My dad has been there a few times getting photos for our draft horse calendar.

Daryl Woolstenhulme of Montpelier Idaho uses an overshot to put up hay.

If I knew how, I'd post a few photos of my grandfather stacking hay with one...

Dale is right - the Grant Kohrs Ranch used an overshot again this year. If you contact them, I will bet they tell you where to get some pictures - they are part of the national park system.
